Perry Investment Board

Simon Perry


After 15 years as Chief Executive for Perry Group, Simon Perry stepped aside in 2007 to take up the role of Chairman for the Group. Simon also chairs the Brian Perry Charitable Trust, which was set up in 2007 to reflect Brian’s desire to provide support to the wider Waikato community. Simon sits on numerous Boards as a Director for the current Perry investments as well as being a Director for a number of other organisations.

Murray Gutry


Murray Gutry started with the Perry Group in 2001, and from 2007 to 2012 was Chief Executive of the Group. He left the organisation in 2012 to pursue independent consulting roles, but remains a Director of the Perry Group Board as well as Chair of Aqualine Products Limited and Perry Metal Protection Limited. In addition, Murray holds Directorships in a number of other organisations including the Lion Foundation and Midlands Health.

Mark Taylor


Mark is the Chief Executive of a large Family Office, Prospect Investment Management Limited. Mark has been an independent Director of Perry Group Limited since 2002 and has extensive experience in property, technology and the education sectors.

John Birch


In 1989 John established McClunie Birch Limited (MBL) with a business partner and in 2002 sold his share of the operating business. Over the last 9 years John has been involved in a number of diverse business interests both as an investor and independent Director. John has a strong interest in corporate governance and brings a practical and pragmatic perspective to the organisations he is involved in. He joined the Perry Group Board in 2010 as a Director and is also currently involved in a number of other key business initiatives at a Board level.

Craig Blackmore


Craig has been with Perry’s for approximately 16 years in a number of roles including General Manager of 360 Management Limited and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2011 and in 2020, Craig became Chief Operating Officer of the Group. Craig is responsible for the Groups’ overall leadership, treasury services, risk, IT, people, property, and financial support for the Perry investments, family and trusts as well as in-depth financial analysis for potential future investments and projects.
